Information for SI Members
This section is intended to cover basic concepts with which not all indexers will be up-to-speed; it's the place to turn as an alternative to posting a plea for help on SIdeline if a client offers a commission you're not sure you can cope with but would like to consider. It offers:
- general advice on accepting commissions
- a section of frequently asked questions
- a guide to making your own case, for those times when a client's understanding of what is feasible and sensible might not match yours
Of course, other sections of this site also provide information you might like to consider and argument you might want to deploy.
This section is also intended to collect advice on individual publishers' systems, new-technology related feedback from the Information Exchange, relevant SIdeline postings and any other privileged or confidential information. We'd welcome ideas for content; we'd be even more pleased to be offered ready-made content.
SI Members may also like to join ASI's Digital Publications Indexing Special Interest Group which provides resources, networking and marketing support for its indexing members.
